Availability of care is provided to all existing patients, exempt adults and children We cannot accept new NHS all the time. When we are accepting new NHS patients, we will inform the PCT.
Private dental care is offered. A detailed price list is available.
Specialised treatments offered by the practice include implants, cosmetic dentistry and hygiene therapy treatment.
Referrals to specialists for orthodontics.

NHS services
General dental treatment involves all the necessary dental treatment which a dentist usually undertakes and which the patient has agreed to undergo. This includes:
- Examination - Diagnosis - Advice and planning of treatment - Periodontal treatment - Restorative treatment - Surgical treatment - Extractions - Preventative treatment - The taking of radiographs - Issue of prescriptions - The supply of listed drugs and listed appliances
Access to dental treatment and what to expect on your first visit
To make an appointment simply telephone the Practice on 01142661265 or drop into the surgery and speak with the receptionist.
On your first visit you will be asked to complete a medical history form. We will require you to provide your doctor’s details, current medications, and a next of kin.
At your first visit you will meet the practice team and an initial exam will be conducted. Any treatment you require will be carried out at that appointment or you will be guided to arrange a follow up appointment.
Recall guidance will be provided for you call the practice at a specified time to make your next appointment.

Emergency care
Should you have a dental emergency during practice hours, please phone the practice at your earliest opportunity to make an appointment. We endeavour to see any patient who has a dental emergency within 24 hours.
Dental emergencies outside the normal practice hours, please telephone the PCT led Primecare on 0844 736 8440 who will put you in contact with the dentist on call. You may not see your usual dentist, Primecare’s aim is to deal with your immediate problem.

Maintaining the highest standards of care
To ensure our service is delivered to meet your needs we operate a complaints procedure in accordance with the NHS guidelines. This allows us to renew and continually improve our standards of care. If you would like to talk about any aspect of your care or treatment, please ask to talk to our practice manager in confidence. You can also make a comment or complaint to the NHS Sheffield patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS). For more information, please contact the Practice Manager.
PaymentYou will be asked to pay a percentage towards your treatment or to settle the full account at each visit.
Depending on the treatment, you may be asked to pay a deposit in advance of treatment. We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express. After April 2011, unfortunately we will no longer be able to accept cheques as this form of payment is no longer guaranteed.

Rights and responsibilities of the patients
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can use this appointment for someone else in need.
If you miss 2 or more appointments or give less than 24 hours notice, we may not be able to complete your treatment or offer you NHS dental treatment in the future.
Charges for private treatment may be requested for unattended appointments or late cancellations.
Abusive or violent behaviour
If a patient is abusive or violent to any staff, treatment will be terminated and the police and/or PCT informed.
Confidentiality
Patient confidentiality at our practice is taken seriously and all information about our patients is treated with the strictest confidence in accordance with our practice policy.

You may also request at any time copies of your dental records, x-rays or laboratory prescriptions. Charges may apply.
